In situations
where there has been prior surgery, and chronic or recurrent
purulent sinusitis continues to occur, pulsatile sinus irrigation
with dilute salt water on a daily basis using a Grossan nasal
irrigator device is frequently recommended. Besides the obvious
mechanical cleansing affect, the pulsatile action is thought to help
stimulate the nasal cilia back to normal function (one of main
principles of contemporary sinus surgery is to preserve any and all
normal respiratory mucosa as is possible so as to prevent subsequent
cilia-related sinus problems). An additional advantage of this
irrigation technique is that topical antibiotic solutions such as
gentamicin can be used to treat infection, which can often be
primarily superficial or surface infection.

Many people with
asthma or other respiratory conditions also have nasal and
sinus symptoms. Drainage from your nose and sinuses may get into the
lungs, especially at night, worsening breathing symptoms. A
salt water nasal wash helps reduce this possibility. Some
people call this a nasal irrigation. This procedure removes
mucus and bacteria from your nose and reduces symptoms of
postnasal drip and nasal congestion. Use a Grossan® Nasal
Irrigator Tip. Pour the saline solution into the water
reservoir and set at the lowest possible pressure. Insert the tip
just inside your nostril and allow the fluid to run out of
your mouth or other nostril. Blow your nose lightly. Repeat
the procedure with the other nostril.

As much as I admire
Dr. Murray Grossan, I protest that my use of Clear-Ease enzymes has
been for my own selfish reasons: I like knowing about neat stuff
before my patients do. They credit me and not the product.) I am
pleased to report that my initial reports from patients taking these
pills for a variety of ailments have been very satisfactory, and so
have reflected well upon me. The product does seem to help
reduce inflammation and thin viscous secretions. I believe the
responses have far exceeded placebo expectations, it is uniformly
well tolerated, and I think we are going to have to admit that Dr.
Grossan has put another bullet in our belts.

Dr. Grossan you are a
genius! I am a long time happy user of your sinus tip. After my 3rd
surgery, my ENT told me to wash my nose daily forever! He gave me my
first Grossan sinus irrigator tip. Since Jan 1995 I have not missed
a single day of washing my nose at least twice. Some days I wash 3
or 4 times!! Feels terrific!!! I have now gone 23 months without a
single cold because of this daily nose washing. I used to get sinus
infections and be instantly stopped up, even without having a cold.

I can attest to the
fact that the Grossan irrigator works! I avoided my 3rd
surgery by trying it out. It actually helps your sinuses flush
out the bad stuff. The reason you have problems is because your
cilia has stopped working and that's what flushes out your sinuses.
It's only $15 or so and it's well worth a try!

After years of
continuous sinus infections, I have been basically very healthy
during the last two years. I can thank this NG for that. This is
where I learned of the water pik with the Grossan irrigator
attachment. After irrigating regularly, I rarely had a sinus
infection I would begin treatment as soon as I felt an infection

just wanted to say thank you for inventing it. Last month I finally
could afford to purchase the irrigator (I am a 100% disabled Veteran
with limited income) and have been using it for the last month
and my sinuses feel so wonderful. In the past I used the ear type
bulbous syringe to irrigate but that was such a hassle and I never
felt like it helped much, but your system works. For the last 9
years, since my first aspiration and surgery, I have had an
infection in my right maxillary cavity at least quarterly, if not
sooner. I have not had a need for an antibiotic for 2 months

"I recently
purchased a Grossan Sinus Irrigator system from your company. In my
opinion this is one of the safest, and most significant health care
devices that I have seen in some time. I am a nurse practitioner,
and I have numerous patients with allergy symptoms and asthma. Since
moving from Idaho to north San Diego county a little over a year
ago, I developed significant problems with asthma myself as a result
of a chronic sinus condition. I tried antihistamines, nasal
steroids, inhaled steroids, and even two bouts of oral steroids for
a couple of flares of asthma not responding well to bronchodilators.
I read about your product in Patient Care magazine in an article on
sinusitis earlier this year. I have been symptom free about a week

I had chronic sinus
headaches that would start mid-afternoon. I found that steaming my
sinuses for 10 minutes 2x a day mostly prevented them. When I
switched to your irrigator, I found that 1x a day, everyday, would
completely prevent them. I suspect is has more to do with keeping
the sinus tissue hydrated then with flushing out debris/restoring cilia.
So, I irrigate all the time. Thanks for your product.

"I have employed
your sinus irrigator to treat my five year old son's sinusitis
problems. He has selective IGA deficiency, and has been on
antibiotics almost consistently for the past three years. Since
using the irrigator, he has been free of sinus infection. This has
been for three months! It is not plausible that he would have had
any three month period without infection which would require
antibiotic treatment. He has come down with "cold" virus
during this period, however, using only the irrigator and occasional
